Some Fun Stuff...

Jon and I have done a few really fun things lately. Actually they both occurred within two days of each other a week and a half ago now. We signed up to perform in our ward (Mtn. Vista now) talent show. The show was quite entertaining and boasted performances from various members of our ward playing instruments in and out of tune, children singing primary songs, our own professional comedian's comedy routine, a ventriloquist and a fiery sermon on testimony. As I said, it was quite entertaining. Jon opened the show by playing two classical songs on his Spanish guitar and did a beautiful job. I think it was the best I've ever seen him perform. I was so nervous before he got up there (for us later in the show and for him) but as soon as he started playing all my worries melted away. I'll include a video of him playing one so that you too can revel in their tranquility.
Jon and I performed 'Don't Wait' by Dashboard Confessionals. Jon played the guitar and harmonized while I sang lead vocals. Despite me getting my lyrics a bit mixed up, I think it turned out pretty well. Mom said that everybody cheered the loudest for us--I'll take her word.

Then, on Saturday morning we got to announce for the Henderson Heritage parade--I'm not exactly sure what the purpose of this parade is, but it included visits from Las Vegas Classic Car Club-really cool restored model T's, Las Vegas Muscle Car Club-this was awesome-so many beautiful cars, plenty of high school bands and even two Shriners associations. We had our own booth and sound system. The committee provided us with a script but we were free to ad-lib as we liked. It was really fun and neat to see a Las Vegas community come together. I just wish we had taken pics! We've gotten really bad at bringing our camera with us, but I'm determined to do better if for no other reason but to show off on our blog. ;)

YAY!! Welcome to Bloggy Town*! I'm sure you guys did so great and were the delight of the talent show. You're a regular Captain and Tenille. I like your poll, too. Although I have never formally met Cookie, I gave her my vote because as far as I know, she's the only one who gets carried around town in a bag.

love,
jaz

*Not to be confused with Funky Town.

Great job, Miss!! Love your blog. I don't know who the most spoiled dog is...that's a really hard one, but I can tell you it's definitely NOT Albert.

Missy I am enjoying your blog. I think I am getting converted to blogging now. Not my own but reading others'. I think Issy is the most spoiled because she has her nails painted, but the poll was ended before i could vote.
